I am proud and honored to be named Miss Colorado Jr. High 2012! Pageantry has be an inspiration to me. I enjoy the spirit of each event and the new friends that each competition brings! But don’t let the pretty dresses and smiles fool you – I am also a very tough goalie for my competitive soccer team. Hardly anything gets by me (and I have the bruises to prove it)! One of the biggest goals in my life is to get a sports scholarship. When I’m not on stage - I’m usually on the soccer field practicing my goalie skills, always trying to improve. Sports are a big part of my life. My goal is to play soccer and basketball in high school this next year. In soccer I will try out for goalie and in basketball I will play guard. In addition, to sports, I am very active at school as I am the co-editor of the school yearbook, an active member of the National Junior Honor Society and student leadership program (WEB), a member of the Adams County Youth Council and continuing to sharpen my Sign Language fluency in the Signing Choir.
In my free time, I also enjoy waterskiing, camping, riding motorcycles, playing piano, acting and modeling, and just having fun with my friends and family! My friends and family are a huge part of my life! They are the reason I’ve had so many opportunities to do such amazing things! Our trip to Europe this year will definitely be something I will never forget! My Mom, Dad, and my twin brother Jake are the driving force behind my accomplishments! My Dad always leads by example and has shown me what hard work and perseverance can accomplish. My brother Jake is always an inspiration and supporter – he keeps my competitive spirit alive and well! My Mom is always there to do anything and everything and to drive me anywhere I need to be! She inspires me to always do my best! My family and friends always push me to be the best that I can and both of my Grandmas make sure I look great doing it! I can’t thank them enough for being so supportive!!!
I’m very thankful for all the opportunities that have led up to this. I am very blessed and even a little spoiled but I am incredibly thankful and will do my best to make everyone proud as your Miss Colorado Jr. High 2012.
